Talking about the emotional scene, Niyati says, “When I was given the script, I read it and the director gave me space to improvise the scene and the scene turned out to be so real and perfect. I had to prepare before the emotional scene so I didn’t talk to anyone and stayed in that area to carry the mode in. It was shot in one take and the director liked it so much.
When asked what it takes to play an emotional scene, Niyati said, “It was mostly instinctive. I usually completely immerse myself in the character. I really felt my character’s emotions and tried to channel my inner emotions to perform the sequence in the best way possible and that’s what happened. The thing about these emotionally limited scenes is that you have to feel them.
Sharing her feelings, Niyati says, “I’m glad people like it because a lot of effort goes into it. I get a lot of tweets and comments from the public praising my performance. Some say, “We felt connected to Ginni. ‘, while others say, ‘you were so vulnerable.’ I’m grateful for the love and also for the fact that the audience accepted the character’s vulnerability.”
Niyati is paired opposite Karan Wahi in the show, which premiered on July 5.
