Chris Noth’s deleted reboot scene Sex and the Town you’ll never see


Since the start of “Sex and the City”, Chris Noth has played John James Preston: the love interest of Carrie Bradshaw (Parker) who is perhaps best known as “Mr. Big”. For many fans, it was an integral part of the “Sex and the City” puzzle, which means it comes from had to appear on “And just like that …” at some point. Well, he did, only to suffer a fatal heart attack and die in his first appearance in the season premiere. The original shot would have seen him make another appearance at the end of the revival, but that idea seems to have officially ended up on the cutting room floor.

According to TV line, the season 1 finale of “And Just Like That …” features an emotional moment with Carrie Bradshaw spreading Big’s ashes on the Pont des Arts bridge in Paris. In doing so, a dream sequence would begin where the character of Noth would appear “in the flesh” to him. Ultimately, however, the creative team behind the show decided to take it off the stage altogether to focus more on Carrie as she deals with Big’s death. This choice follows multiple allegations of sexual assault against Noth, which also led to his departure from “The Equalizer” and the end of its advertising campaign with Peloton.

Season 1 of “And Just Like That …” is Streaming exclusively on HBO Max, with new episodes arriving every Thursday. It will end its 10-episode series on February 3, 2022.
